Professor of Mathematics and Head, Department of Education in Science and Mathematics, Division of Educational kits, and Dean Academics in NCERT (Retired). D Phil in Mathematics from Allahabad University, a PhD in Mathematics from Budapest University in Hungary, C Sc from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and D Sc from Avadh University, Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh.
Dr Singh has been associated with the development of syllabi, textbooks, teachers’ training materials, exemplar problems, laboratory manuals in Science and Mathematics for various stages of school education as well as books for B Ed courses. He has promoted the usage of laboratories for learning by doing in Mathematics and currently, there are several such labs in NCERT and across schools in the country. Dr Singh was also Chairman of the Management Committee, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Andrewsganj, New Delhi.
