He has served as Chairman of the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (2018-2021), Chairman of the Karnataka Skill Development Authority (2017-2018), and Chief Secretary, Government of Karnataka (2016-2017). He also held the role of Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy, Government of India (2015-2016), where he contributed significantly to shaping national education policies.
